How I type

VI fan (Neovim in my case). I have full respect for Emacs too — either of these two classics beat everything else. Key strokes are a ton more efficient than any amount of mouse. Treesitter and LSPs give me all language integrations I could possibly wish for.

Where I type

tmux gives me portable window management, and I type on a mechanical split keyboard, Dvorak layout, modifiers on the home row, currently a Moonlander with this configuration.

What runs underneath

Daily life happens most often on macOS, the UX is way too good. But my love goes for NixOS and secretly for FreeBSD too. Raw NixOS if you ask me, not using flakes.

What I run myself

I run my own instances of immich and forgejo among others. I used to run Ubuntu for my servers but never liked Canonical maintaining their own random kernel versions, and then NixOS put my devops experience on steroids.
